You are probably familiar with lunges from doing squats but we use lunges in dance a lot too!
Whether you are doing a lunge in parallel or in turn out lunges are used to travel across the floor, to get into the floor and up from the floor. They are AMAZING at toning your butt checks and giving you a lovely peach shape to you bottom if you care about such things.
In the following video I quickly teach you lunges going forward and to the side through turn out.
If your knees hurt or bother you during this it could be because your bending too low or because your feet are in a wider turn out than your hips.
